It's just a few months since the launch of Samsung S20, and We already start getting a glimpse of what possibly could be the future of Samsung smartphones.
A recent patent from Samsung has revealed an all-new 4 side curved display. The 3D render as patented by Samsung tips at what we can expect from Samsung smartphones in the future.
The minimalistic design leaves almost no space for earphone, sim-tray slot, mic, and volume control keys. There are no speakers to be found anywhere too, which makes sense since the debut of in-display sound technology.
The latest render also leaves no space for a notch, and it's nowhere to be found in the 3D-render. It could be because it's just a 3D render, but then again, It's already been a long time of testing an under-display selfie camera, and I am sure it will debut sooner than later.
The photos also suggest a limitation of the curved-screen at the corners, and it's not surprising because a compromise with the corner will hit the durability of the device. After all, a smartphone when dropped is most likely to hit the floor with its corners.
While it is still too early to conclude a design like this to be a part of the 2021 S-series, I am pretty sure the future will be as promising as it looks today.
