Google released the Android 14 stable update for the Pixel 8 series and Pixel Watch 2 at the 'Made by Google' event. The company has added many new features in this update, from shortcuts to generative AI. It was supposed to be launched in September, but Google postponed it for some reason. Android 14 features
There are many new features in Android 14. Several small and large improvements are made at the Surface and OS level, enhancing the overall Android experience.
Users can now scale font size up to 200% in Android 14 updated pixel devices.
In the new update, you can set the black-and-white theme to the OS and give a completely new look to your phone.
This update allows the users to see notifications by using the camera flash and display flash, or both simultaneously.
Through pre-defined suggestions, one can have AI-generated wallpapers on Android phones.
You can now access app shortcuts on the lock screen and make various changes, including its fonts, colours, layout and widgets.
In the new update, users can also use the Android phone as a webcam.
Android 14 also lets you view on-device photos and videos in HDR quality on selected smartphones with HDR-supported displays.
Steps to download
Go to the Settings app on your Android phone and tap System.
Click on System Update and tap on Check.
When you see the Android 14 update, download and install it.
During this process, the device will restart, and you will use the update after booting.
