OPPO has announced a 4G-only version of the OPPO A57. A perfect option for those who want something cheaper or don’t have access to 5G after all.
From the Dimensity 810 chip of the 5G variant, the OPPO A57 4G settles for the MediaTek Helio G35 processor. This 4G-only chipset is clocked at 2.3GHz, with eight cores, and an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU.
The screens are very similar. It has a 6.56-inch screen with an HD+ resolution. However, the high refresh rate has been reduced to 60Hz from 90Hz.OPPO has reduced the RAM and storage capacities to 3GB and 64GB, respectively. Fortunately, it offers a microSD card slot for expanding storage up to 1TB. It also features virtual RAM expansion for an extra 4GB of RAM for further performance. There's a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as well as face unlock functionality for security. The Helio G35 CPU is employed, which combines eight Cortex-A53 cores with up to 2.3 GHz clock speeds and an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU graphics accelerator. The built-in modem supports 4G/LTE networks.
The Oppo A57 4G price in India is not known at the moment. The phone is available in Thailand for THB 5,499, which roughly translates into Rs. 12,500 in the Indian currency. We can expect the smartphone to be available in India in the sub-Rs. 15,000 price range. The device will be competing against the Realme and Redmi offerings in the segment
The back features the characteristic OPPO Glow design as well as a 13-megapixel primary camera with a depth sensor. The front boasts an 8-megapixel selfie camera, and the entire device is splash-resistant thanks to IP54 certification.
The 4G handset is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
