Following the launch of moto G8 Play, Plus and Power, Motorola has announced the most loving member of the G family. It’s vanilla G8. Moto G8 features a punch hole display, a new triple camera setup an increased battery capacity but, at the cost of a tone-downed display with just 720p+ HD display.
Moto G8 features 6.4’ inch punch hole display with 720p+ resolution. Stuck within its punch hole is 8MP selfie camera (same camera module as seen earlier on Moto G7).
Its new triple camera setup includes a 16MP primary sensor with f1.7 aperture, an ultra-wide angle lens of 8MP with 1180 field of view and a 2MP lens for macros. There is also a fourth sensor featuring a Laser AF system for better focusing.
With G8, Motorola this time is offering a better chipset too, Snapdragon 665 paired with Adreno 600 which is almost twice as fast as compare to adreno 500 in G7, 4GB of RAM and 64GB expandable storage.
Increased battery capacity is another improvement to be found in Moto G8. G8 packs a 4000mAh battery unit compare to 3000mAh unit of last year G7 but comes with only a 10W fast charger. For quick authentication Moto G8 has same traditional fingerprint reader on the rear which doubles as Motorola logo.
Moto G8 is currently available for purchase only in Brazil for BRL1,143 but, it is expected to be available soon in another market with an expected price tag of $180/INR13,100.
