After the successful launch of the flagship, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro this year, the company is preparing to bring the Google Pixel 7a into the mid-range series of the Google Pixel 7 Series. This phone is expected to launch in mid-2023.
Information about the phone's specifications and camera setup has been revealed ahead of the launch. According to the leaks, the phone will get a flagship camera sensor. Also, support for wireless charging will be available on the phone.
Google Pixel 7a Specifications
The public conversation of Android's open-source code has confirmed that Google is working on a new Pixel 7a smartphone. The codename of this device, Lynx, has also appeared in the leaks. Google Pixel 7a will be an upgraded version of the Google Pixel 6a, a mid-range smartphone launched in August this year.
Pixel 7a Camera Details
As per the revelation from tipster Kuba Wojciechowski, Google will remove Samsung's 50-megapixel lens from its lineup. Earlier it was said that Google Pixel 7a would sport a triple rear camera sensor setup, 64-megapixel telephoto sensor, and 13-megapixel ultra-wide sensor along with a 50-megapixel.
Display
Recently, the tipster dug new details related to the display of Pixel 7a. Google may give a 90Hz 1080p OLED panel display in this affordable phone, and thus it will be the first phone to have one of the best displays in the mid-range segment.
Processors
Google Pixel 7a may also support a Tensor G2 processor with a Qualcomm processor for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. If this happens, it will be the first time that Google's Tensor processor phone will get combined with Qualcomm chips.
The pixel 7a could get P9222 chipset support for wireless charging, limited to 5W charging.
