Gmail users are now able to access 'Google Chat' and 'Google Rooms' directly. These features are now available inside Gmail. In such a situation, if you are working on Gmail, then you will not need to exit to open Google Chat App. Users will get four tabs on Gmail Android App- 'Mail', 'Chat', 'Rooms' and 'Meet'.
Difference between Google Chat, Room and Meet-
You will be able to check all your emails in the Mail section, while Google Chat provides you to chat with anyone. Google Meet can be used for meeting and video calling. If you want to share or discuss any topic, then you can create a room here. Let you know that the new tab is available for both Android and web users. Currently, it is not known when iOS users will get this feature.
Users will not be able to access this new update by default. For this, you will have to enable the option of Early Access in the settings. If you want, you can switch to the original version at any time.

The following steps will have to follow to access the Google 'Chat' and 'Rooms' feature on the Android App of Gmail-
Gmail Web
At present, Gmail automatically does not provide the facility to add Google 'Chat' and 'Rooms'. Therefore, the setting has to be changed manually.
