At Google's Annual Conference, the company unveiled the latest software Android 12 OS. There will be the introduction of many new and tremendous features in it. If the new OS is compared to the company's old Android 11, it will provide users with many new features and better safety. The company says that in its new OS, more focus is on data safety and security. According to Google, Android 12 will be the biggest design change in the history of Android. Material You
The name of Google's new design language is Material You, which target individualism so that the phone design can change according to the users' choice. With this new language, any app, which is not even from Google, will sync in the new design. Users will get to see a change in the theme. Users will also be able to select apart from the light and dark themes. A new lock screen, new widgets and new colours are coming on the platform. The company has claimed that the new design is 22 per cent faster than before.
Privacy Focused Design
In Android 12, users will get a dedicated privacy dashboard. It will serve as a one-stop centre. With this, you will be able to check all the privacy elements and to know which apps are using which part of your phone. There will be a new indicator in the top left in the new OS through which you come to know when an app will use your camera or microphone. Also, users will now be able to control the location. For example, the Weather app will now get access to the approximate location instead of accurate.
Multi-device Capability
IoTs are growing fast in the market, and they are expanding on all types of applications nowadays. Android 12 will work as a central hub for all these smart devices. In future, users will also be able to unlock the car through the NFC of the phone.
Beta Access
Google has said that many more features will be added to Android 12 in the future. Currently, the first public beta of Android 12 will be available for many companies like OnePlus, Xiaomi and Vivo, including Pixel phones.
How to install Android 12 Beta 1
You must initially enrol your device from the Android 12 Beta site to install the beta release on your Pixel phone, even if you have previously enrolled in the Android 11 Beta Program.
Android 12 Beta 1 will be available for download on your phone after enrolling. You can manually check its availability by going to Settings > System > System Update > Check for Update. Beta release may take some time to reach your device.
