Since the government of India has provided an ease to the lockdown conditions, the smartphone OEM's have pushed a slew of new products in the country. yesterday, Motorola launched its flagship Motorola Edge+ with the price tag of 74,999 INR, and today, they have quietly unveiled its entry-level smartphone, the Motorola G8 Lite.
Motorola G8 Lite comes powered with a Mediatek Helio P35 Chipset paired with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage.
Around the back, there is a triple camera setup composed of a 16MP (wide) primary lens followed by a 2MP each of the depth sensor and a macro shooter. The display is 6.5 inches 720p LCD panel containing a notch sporting an 8MP selfie shooter.
For a quick authentication, there is a classic fingerprint sensor located at the back panel of the power lite.
The main highlight of Motorola G8 Lite is its battery. It comes with a 5000mAh battery that justifies Power tag in its name, but unfortunately, it draws its power through a micro USB port and comes bundled with a mare 10W standard charger out of the box.
Available in two color options - Royal Blue and Arctic Blue, Motorola G8 Power Lite is priced INR 8,999, and it will be available for sales starting May 29.
Motorola G8 Power lite will go in head to head competition with recently launched Realme Narzo 10A, which comes with a more powerful Mediatek Helio G70 Chipset that supports decent gaming, and Redmi 8 featuring 18W fast charger through a modern USB Type-C cable. Not to forget that both Narzo 10A and Redmi 8 have the same 5000mAh battery capacity.
Judging these things, Moto G8 Lite might find it hard to grab good sales in India.
