The Motorola is all set to announce its two new smartphones, Motorola Edge, and Edge+, later today through an online event - E-vent at 9:30 PM IST. There wasn't much information about these devices until today, but the last moment leak has revealed everything about upcoming Motorola Edge smartphones, which leaves almost nothing more to the imagination.
Motorola Edge Plus will be the flagship device to debut with the latest Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with at least 12GB of RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage.
Upfront, Moto Edge+ will carry 6.7 inches curved 1080p OLED display with a punch hole located at the upper left corner of the screen sporting a 25MP selfie camera. Motorola Edge Plus will also boast a dual stereo speaker for an enhanced gaming experience.
Around the back, there will be a tri camera setup consisting of - 108MP primary sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP telephoto module. Motorola Edge+ will pack a massive 5000mAh battery supporting the reverse charge, wireless charging, and will come equipped with an 18W fast charger out of the box.
Motorola Edge will be the more affordable version of the Moto Edge series sporting a less powerful Snapdragon 765 chipset, meant to compete in the upper mid-range segment.
Motorola Edge will come with the same 90Hz 6.7 inches curved OLED panel, dual stereo speakers, and a tri camera setup, but the 108MP primary sensor is replaced by a toned-down 64MP module.
While there is no information about the battery capacity, the Moto edge will support 5G connectivity like Moto Edge plus.
There is no official information about the price and availability of more affordable vanilla Motorola Edge variant, but Motorola Edge Plus will cost around $1000, which roughly translates to INR76,000, and will be sold exclusively through Verizon.
More information about the price and international availability will be revealed during the launch event scheduled at 9:30 PM IST.
