Micro Blogging Site Twitter has released Voice Message Feature in India, Japan and Brazil. Through this feature, users can record their voice and send messages along with the tweet. In other words, this new feature is about sending voice notes in DMs on Twitter. In the voice message, one can send an audio message of 140 seconds.

Twitter announces that this feature in India will roll out in phases. Currently, this feature is on the test, and therefore it is not available for all users. This voice message feature is only available for selected Android and iOS users.

For interested users, here are the steps to send a voice message in DMs on Twitter-

  • Open the Twitter app on the Android or iOS smartphone.
  • On the app, the users can choose the envelope icon to open their DMs.
  • In a particular DM, select the icon right next to the text bar.
  • This icon allows users to record their voice messages.
  • After setting down the voice message, users have to press the send button.
  • Twitter also permits users to play and listen to the voice message before sending it.
