Redmi Note 9 Pro is already up for the grab in the Indian market, but something was missing from the last year - a vanilla Note model. And today, we have come to know about the replacement of that missing vanilla model in India.
The latest information comes through the Redmi twitter account. Redmi official twitter account revealed that Redmi Note 9 is en route to India with the launch date set to July 20. There is still no information on whether the launch will be a proper event or an online stream, however, we do know that the launch will start at 12 Noon IST.
Redmi Note 9 follows the same design philosophy as Redmi Note 9 Pro with the only notable difference in the position of the fingerprint scanner and the punch hole. While Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner Redmi Note 9 has a rear-mounted setup located just below the quad-camera setup, and unlike Pro model, Redmi Note 9 punch hole is located on the top left corner of the screen.
Redmi Note 9 comes powered via Mediatek Helio G85 Chipset paired with a 3GB/4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage.
Upfront, there is 6.53 inches FullHD+ IPS LCD Display that comes with a punch hole sporting a 13MP selfie shooter. Around the back, There is a quad-camera setup to be seen, composed of a 48MP main shooter, an 8MP ultrawide module, and two 2MP shooters for macro shooting and depth analysis.
The battery in Redmi Note 9 is a 5020mAh unit that draws its power through an 18W fast charger provided in the box. The interesting fact, it supports 9W reverse charging tech, absent in the Pro model. Other highlights of the device include NFC, IR blaster, and a near-extinct 3.5mm jack.
There is no information about the pricing of Redmi Note 9 yet, though you can expect it to carry a price tag of around 13000INR ( $200 ). It will be available to be purchase in two colors - Purple and Green.
