Redmi Note series is already up for the grab in many countries, but today, Xiaomi has launched the first member of its regular Redmi 9 series. Redmi 9 is an affordable smartphone from Xiaomi featuring a powerful Helio G80 Chipset and a quad-camera setup.
Redmi 9 comes powered by a Mediatek Helio G80 SoC that secured a total of 2,00,000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark in our test, which is a solid score considering the price tag of Redmi 9.
Upfront, there is 6.53 inches 1080p LCD Display, a significant upgrade over last year Redmi 8 720p display. The display comes with a water-drop notch sporting an 8MP selfie shooter.
Around the back, lies a quad-camera setup escalating a 13MP f/2.2 main camera, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera with 108 deg field of vision, a 5MP f/2.4 macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. Redmi Note 9 comes with a massive 5020mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging, but unfortunately, the device comes bundled with a 10W standard charger out of the box. Other highlights of Redmi Note 9 include a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC for wireless controls.
Available in three different colors - black green and purple, Redmi 9 is currently available to be purchase via Spain's official Xioami website. You can grab a base variant of Redmi 9 that comes with a 3GB/32GB memory configuration for just 149 Euros, which roughly translates to INR 12,500 or a 4GB/64GB variant for 179 Euros.
There isn't any official information about the International availability or pricing of Redmi 9, but you can expect to unveil sooner than later.
