Earlier this month, Realme launched the Realme 7 and 7 Pro, direct successor to the Realme 6 lineup in India, and today, Realme has added another member to its new 7-series smartphone - Realme 7i.
Realme 7i comes powered via Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 Chipset, unlike Mediatek Chipset G series Chipset, seen earlier on Realme 6i.
Snapdragon, while nowhere close to the Mediatek G95T processor, is good enough to handle daily tasks with ease and is better with thermal management. So no complaints there, especially for the money Realme 6i is asking, $215 for an 8GB/128GB configuration.
Upfront, there is 6.5 inches punch hole LCD sporting a 16MP selfie camera. The display has a modern super smooth 90Hz refresh rate, but unlike other Realme 7 smartphones, The resolution has been dumped to only HD+.
Around the back, there is a quad-camera setup composed of a 64MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP monochrome lens, and a 2MP depth sensor for the bokeh effect. You will also find a traditional fingerprint sensor engraved at the mid-upper side of the back panel, unlike the side-mounted fingerprint scanner we have seen earlier on Realme 6i and Realme 7 smartphones.
Realme 7i packs a 5000mAh battery under the hood, same as that of Realme 7, but again Realme 7i maxes out at 18W fast charger, unlike 30W fast charging support available in Realme 7. Other highlights of the phone include UIS, UIS Max, and ultra-wide video recording. Realme 7i is also splash resistant.
Currently available only in Indonesia in two color variants Aurora Green and Polar Blue, The price of Realme 7i is IDR3,199,00, which roughly translates to $215. There is an early bird offer going on, where you can grab this smartphone for just IDR3,099,000 ($205).
There is no official information about the international availability of the handset yet.
