To boost its audio segment, global smartphone brand OnePlus may launch new earbuds Buds Z2 next month. The company launched its predecessor OnePlus Z TWS in October last year. A new report has leaked detailed renders of the alleged True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, revealing the design and other details.
OnePlus already has two products in its TWS portfolio- OnePlus Buds Z and OnePlus Buds Pro. According to GSMArena, the buds Z2 looks similar to its predecessor, but the ear tips are slightly angled.
OnePlus Buds Z2 Features (expected)
The source has leaked several renders of the OnePlus Buds Z2. The tipster claims that these renders are based on a real-life photograph, which indicates that it could be the final design. The earphones are likely to retain the long stem design, and even the charging case has the same cylindrical shape.
"We also see some sensors on the Buds, which can be used for wear detection, a feature that was not present in the original Buds Z", a report says. In January, the company, in collaboration with Los Angeles based artist and designer Steven Harrington, launched a limited edition of its Buds Z in India for Rs 3,699.
According to the company, the OnePlus Buds Z2 features an in-ear style design and sports silicone ear cushions. The charging case will have a USB Type-C port and has an LED light module to show the battery life. The renders show the OnePlus Buds Z2 in white, but the earbuds are likely to come in several other colour options as well. The report also suggests that the rumoured TWS earbuds may launch sometime in October.
