Apple announced two new Pride Edition Watch Bands and a new watch face during the celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and diversity. Apple has been supporting the LGBTQ+ community since 2016 with the release of Pride Edition Apple Watch Bands. The latest declaration accords with the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHO) and arrives just before pride month.
Pride Edition Bands Design
The two new Pride Bands are Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop and pride Edition Nike Sport Loop. In the two designs, the first is a new Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop with the familiar Solo Loop design introduced last year; however, each uses a different colour for overlapping weaves.
The bands symbolize the colours of the original rainbow, as well as black and Latinx communities. Additionally to those people who have passed away from or living with HIV/AIDS. Meanwhile, light blue, pink and white colours represent transgender and non-binary individuals.
Price and Availability
The Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop costs $99 (Rs 7,900), while the Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop costs $49 (Rs 3,900). They are open to ordering from Apple.com from today and will be available on May 25 at Apple Store Locations. The Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop will also be available at nike.com. It is available in 12 sizes.
