Xiaomi has announced Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro in India back in March, while Redmi Note 9 Pro went on sale on March 17, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max sale was postponed due to outbreak of Corona in the country.
But, after recent ease in lockdown by the government that allowed eCommerce to deliver non-essentials goods in areas marked as green and orange zones, the Chinese OEM has now announced that the sale of Note 9 Pro Max will begin from May 12 through Mi.com.
Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is essentially an upgraded variant of Note 9 Pro in terms of memory and storage. Note 9 Pro Max is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720 Chipset.
Upfront, there is 6.67 inches 1080p LCD Display that has a punch hole at the top center of the screen featuring a 32MP selfie shooter. Around the back, there is a quad-camera setup to be found. The quad-camera setup includes a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.
Note 9 Pro Max 5020 mAh battery that comes with a 33W fast charging support out of the box. For quick authentication, Pro Max has a side-mounted traditional fingerprint scanner.
Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes in three variants. The base variant comes with 6GB/64GB configuration and costs INR 16,499 (220$), the mid variant with 6GB/128GB configuration costs INR 17,999 (240$), and the top of the line variant with 8GB/128GB configuration costs INR 19,999 (265$).
