LG Velvet is undeniably the most awaited LG smartphone of the decade thanks to the new design it is going to debut with, which will hopefully bring LG's mobile division back to the counts of profit.
There wasn't much information about the LG Velvet yet, other than its Chipset and Camera alignment, which was earlier teased by the LG itself. But today, We have come to know almost everything you need to know about the upcoming LG Velvet.
LG Velvet will feature a traditional glass sandwich design at an aspect ratio of 21:9, which reminds us of current Sony flagships, making it the tallest mid-range smartphone. 21:9 screens could take some time to grow over the eyes, but since all Netflix series and movies are made at 21:9, it actually offers a very intrusive movie experience and is far more productive.
LG Velvet will come packed with the latest Snapdragon 765G chipset where G stands for Gaming optimization.
Upfront, LG Velvet will feature a tall waterdrop AMOLED Display housing a 16MP selfie shooter. For Bio-authentication, LG Velvet will sport an in-display fingerprint scanner, and will also come with an IP68 Rating for an added water and dust protection.
The battery in LG Velvet will be a 4300mAh unit that will come packed with Qualcomm fast charge 3.0 out of the box. LG Velvet will also support fast wireless charging.
LG Velvet will feature a unique looking Tri Camera setup named - Raindrop Camera, which LG has been proudly boasting for quite a long time now. The setup will consist of a separate circular cutout for each camera sensor, arranged in the descending order of their girth followed by an LED flash.
The primary sensor will be a 48MP OIS module, which is rumored to be the Samsung ISOCELL GM2 followed by an 8MP Ultrawide and a 5MP depth sensor for telephotos.
LG Velvet will debut with an 8GB RAM and 128GB UFS3.0 internal storage in its base variant, expandable via microSD. The phone will go on sale at least in 4 color variants - Aurora Green, Aurora Gray, Aurora White, and illusion Sunset.
LG Velvet, the most awaited LG smartphone will go official on May 7. The price of the base variant will start at KRW 899,800, Which roughly translates to INR54000 ($700). The phone should be available to be purchase somewhere in between mid-May.
